Banksy: Bethlehem. Santas Ghetto 2007

April 17th, 2010

IN THE LAST DAYS OF THE YEAR 2007 ANNO DOMINI IN THE TOWN WHERE OUR LORD (Depending on who you are) JESUS CHRIST WAS BORN AS A MORTAL MAN (Depending on what you believe.) A SEMI-ANONYMOUS STREET ARTIST AND HIS MATES LO DID COME AND BRING WITH THEM PICTURES WHAT THEY HAD MADE TO SELL FOR A CAUSE IN A LITTLE SHOP KNOWN AS A GALLERY AND ALSO TO PAINT ON A WALL WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL BUT IT DOESNT LOOK VERY NICE ANYWAY BECAUSE IT IS A MILITARY WALL SET THERE BY THE GOVERNMENT OF ISRAEL FOR REASONS WE ARE SIMPLY TOO LAZY TO GO IN TO HERE, BUT ULTIMATELY BECAUSE THEY ARE HAVING AN EXTENDED ARGUMENT KNOWN AS A WAR WITH PALESTINE WHICH LOOKS TO THE PASSING MONKEY MORE LIKE AN OCCUPATION BUT WHAT THE sod DO WE KNOW? WELL I MAY NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT ART Free Palestine? Eyes glaze over rapidly. The truth is that we are always forgetting that other people, beyond our tribal boundaries, are actually as real as we are. No amount of beard stroking or political debate can make us empathise with the strange aliens that throng the world beyond. Sometimes we catch a glimpse of other realities than our own, but if we are ten percent angel we are ninety percent monkey. If we accept this then at least we are working at ground zero. This is the perspective that gets you into situations like spray painting a military patrolled security wall in Palestine. The monkey idiot with a glimmer of consciousness goes where the wise man cannot. Graffiti Aid One muses upon charitable actions and sees only

April 16th, 2010

Please don’t say none, becuase I have WAY too many (8 and I’m only 20!)

Capital One-This is my first card, so I think I should keep this for the history..

Best Buy-1,400 limit…never use it, balance is small like 65.00, so I could close this fast..

Bank of America-7,000 limit just opened to save money on Balance Transfers for zero percent..

Chase-6,200 limit…never use, However, it is my overdraft protection for my checking, so its rather important…

Citi- 2,800 limi- currently has a 1,500 balance at 0% until next october

Discover-1,000 limit….don’t use very often, but I owe 500 on it…zero percent until april

GM Flexible Earnings Card by HSBC-0.00 limit…NEVER use, only got it because I bought a brand new car and thought it might be nice to have a card that can help me save towards a new car..

Citi (#2)-4,500 limit….currently owe 800.00 at 1.99% until August

Which ones should I work on closing?

*Capital one has a 1,500 balance at 1.99 for life

‘Spending Freeze’: Obama’s Con Game!

April 16th, 2010

So, the Congressional Budget Office has revealed today that Obama’s Stimulus package is already going to cost Billion more than was originally promised. Hey, that’s great because nearly 3 out of 4 Americans, according to a new CNN poll, believe the Stimulus was wasted anyway. I am sure that when the American people find out it was more of a waste than originally planned they will change their minds and be convinced that the Stimulus really did give us our money’s worth and really did keep us out of recession and under 8 percent unemployment as Obama promised. Obama is unaffected by the prospect that because of his lies, there is going to be a high political cost for his Democrat buddies in Congress come November. Obama is convinced his party won’t lose in 2010, like it did in 1994, because, as he’s recently said, they have him. Well, it’s great to know that Obama thinks his growing credibility gap is going to keep his party in power. His weakness is that he buys into his own hubris. It’s just like Obama’s loss in Massachusetts, he tried to say voters were angry with Bush, so they elected a Republican. We all know that doesn’t make sense and is laughable on the face of it. He’s completely ridiculous in his statements these days. Some have even said his statements are stupid, but I believe Obama says it not because he’s stupid, he says it because he believes you’re stupid and that you won’t call him out on it. No one should believe anything that comes out of Obama’s

Is there a credit card that doesn’t charge a fee for international transactions?

April 15th, 2010

I am studying abroad in Arezzo, Italy from January-June 2009. I am looking for a new credit card that doesn’t charge international transaction fees or at least has a low, low rate. Also, if there is one that has a zero-percent balance transfer offer that would be great. Thanks for the assistance!

Debit Card Skimming Scams

April 15th, 2010

Three steps to take to protect your account data from getting into the wrong hands Whether by choice or necessity, American consumers are increasingly relying on debit rather than credit cards. Debit card spending has risen steadily, growing from 47.7 percent of purchases made with plastic in 2003 to 58.9 percent in 2008 and it is expected to surpass 67 percent by 2013, according to the Nilson Report, a newsletter that tracks the consumer payment industry. When you use a debit card, the money is immediately taken from your checking account. While using debit guarantees that you pay as you go, these cards have downsides, including a growing appeal to thieves. “As economic conditions have worsened, there’s been a noticeable increase in all types of card fraud,” says Avivah Litan, an analyst specializing in fraud detection and prevention at Gartner Research in Stamford, Conn. “But ATM and debit-card fraud is the top area of concern we’re hearing about from banks all over the world.” Unlike credit-card thieves, who usually charge merchandise and then resell it to come up with money, people who create counterfeit ATM or debit cards by stealing your PIN and other account data can simply pull cold cash from your bank account. Using a technique known as skimming, they set up equipment that captures magnetic stripe and keypad information when you input your PIN at ATM machines, gas pumps, restaurants, or retailers. Here’s how you can protect yourself: Don’t Type in Your Pin at the
